‚ÄčOn Saturday 6th December we had our annual District Sunday School Big Day Out at the Chosen Valley Christian Camp near Drury. An estimated 85 children and about 90 adults took part. The day commenced with the Divine Service in the onsite chapel, conducted by DEL Graf. A morning tea was held and the children and helpers spent the rest of the day enjoying the activities and fun such as water slide, kayaks, archery, go-karts, balance bridge, biking etc. The lunch consisted of an awesome boerewors roll (or more), which was cooked by the Albany ministers. Each of the children were provided with a BDO tote bag with the theme as a keep sake of the special day and to keep their wet togs in, for the water activities. At the end of the day, certificates were handed to the children and traditional lolly scramble. The day ended with many tired and excited children and adults going home, with thoughts of the 2015 BDO and Chief Apostle visit in September.
