Youth Breakfast with District Apostle Anderson - April 2012
Many of us have had the opportunity to be served in word and sacrament by our dear District Leaders - but how many have had the special joy of being served breakfast by our District Apostle, District Elder and on the beach? For about 43 youth in Auckland on a glorious autumn morning, on the 21st April, this became a special experience!

What started out as a request from the Auckland Youth to the District Elder just to have some time with the District Apostle on his next scheduled visit, quickly turned into a reality when the District Apostle agreed to spend the morning with the youth. It certainly was an divine inspiration to suggest a breakfast at the beach in what was predicted to be very wet conditions.......however, despite technology and collective wisdom, grace prevailed and it proved to be a most awesomely beautiful and special day.

The youth gathered early to erect a gazebo in a prime spot while Carol and her assistant Master Chefs, Jason Marquard and Nicole Testa prepared a soon to be world famous 'sausage and egg a'la onion sauce'. The District Apostle, suitably attired, served all present a hearty portion of breakfast before walking with the youth on the beach and engaging in some unique one on one time with God's High servants.

After an exhilarating walk the District Apostle shared some personal experiences with the young congregation and encouraged all present never to compromise their belief and faith.A big thank you to all who helped make this special occation a memorable experience - we look forward to the next opportunity to be with each again.
